History

Hospital Engineering has been an independent and internationally active project developer for 50 years. Our headquarters are located in
Tuttlingen, just east of the Black Forest, near Lake Constance, in the south of Germany.

There are never two hospitals alike, each is a reflection of specific customer needs. We offer our services especially to customers in developing countries, such as ministries, bilateral and multilateral donor organizations, private investors, large corporations with in-house medical facilities, and charitable organizations.

This complete package of services forms the basis of our customized solutions: the design of health facilities, the supply and installation of medical and related technical equipment including all relevant consumables, staff training, after-sales service with spare parts supply, warranty, maintenance and repair services.

In addition to green-field activities, Hospital Engineering has refurbished many existing medical institutions, particularly in developing countries, and found a solution to overcome the most challenging problems. Based on an inventory and critical assessment of existing equipment and facilities, we established categories such as “available for future use”, “to be replaced” and “additional requirements”. These studies included both an analysis of the physical structure as well as suggestions for improving workflow.

Most recently, we proudly launched the Hospital Engineering Academy with dedicated facilities in Hamburg (Germany) and Accra (Ghana), as well as a comprehensive online portal. In addition, we have focused our efforts on the introduction of software solutions that complement our services. This is in line with our organization’s the philosophy of continuous development and improvement of our organization, products and services.
